Bloomed was created with sustainability at its core. Our ethos is rooted in a simple belief: floral design doesn’t have to come at the expense of the planet. By choosing to reduce, reuse, and work in harmony with nature, we create floral designs that are both thoughtful and timeless.

Traditional event floristry often results in huge amounts of waste, with flowers used for a single day, often sourced overseas and covered in chemicals,  before being discarded. Frustrated by this, we founded Bloomed with a different approach. We specialise in potted Blooms for hire — living plants that can be enjoyed time and time again. This allows us to create the same impact and aesthetic as cut flowers, while dramatically reducing waste and extending the life of every Bloom.

The majority of our potted Blooms are homegrown or grown locally in Herefordshire, with just a few carefully chosen Italian olive trees as an exception. Every plant is nurtured with harvested rainwater, helping us conserve resources and work in tune with the natural environment.

Our cut stems mostly  grown by us or sourced locally. We proudly support local flower farmers, keeping our supply chain small, seasonal, and sustainable while celebrating the natural beauty of British blooms.

We use organic, peat-free compost wherever possible and make our own plant feed, avoiding harmful pesticides and chemicals entirely. Our approach is gentle, considered, and focused on long-term plant health rather than short-term results.

Sustainability extends beyond our flowers. We are 99% paperless, using only a small number of recycled business cards when needed. Many of our displays feature vintage and reclaimed pots, crates, and vessels — each chosen for its character and ability to be reused rather than replaced.

We consciously keep our work local, travelling only within Herefordshire and the surrounding counties to reduce unnecessary emissions and maintain close relationships with the venues and suppliers we work alongside.

Even our team uniforms reflect our values, made from organic cotton and produced in the UK, supporting ethical manufacturing and reducing environmental impact.

At Bloomed, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s the foundation of everything we do. From the soil we grow in to the events we create, every decision is made with care, intention, and respect for the natural world.
